"When Should I book my Preview? Can I come the morning of my Bridal Shower?"
It is recommended the preview takes place 1-3 months out from the event date. You want your hair to be similar to what it will be like by wedding day. Hair length & color can change and you could also forget how you felt at the time if it is too far in advanced. I try my best to accommodate all my brides for when they prefer their preview. With weekends being mostly dedicated to weddings, I aim to have previews during the week anywhere between 10am-4pm. It never hurts to ask to see if I am available for non-peak wedding season weekends :)
"Will I need extensions for my hair? Where do I look to find some?"
In certain cases, some styles will require you to have clip in extensions. These NEED to be brought to your preview so plan ahead! The most popular styles are any kind of Hollywood glam waves or if your hair requires a little extra volume. Adding extensions help hold curls for a longer period of time & give more voluminous looks, this includes updos! Some of my favorite brands are Bellami or Luxy as they have a wide range of clip ins that are great to work with. WATCH OUT FOR SYNTHETIC HAIR CLIP INS! They can't have ANY heat or product applied to them. If you need further assistance with clip ins, please let me know!
"How long does it take you for each service the morning of?"
Typically I send out a schedule 1 MONTH prior to your date. I schedule 45min for any bridal party member and 1 hour or 1 hour 15min for bride, depending on the style. I will always add in time for final touches by the end.
"What should I do to prep for bridal preview and what should I bring? Can I bring guests with me?"
Please please PLEASE come with clean dry hair. DIRTY HAIR IS A MYTH! It is also important your hair stays out of a ponytail, bun or clips prior to coming in. Those items can create unwanted bends in the hair. Following simple hair care rules will allow me to deliver you the best results possible for your preview. Working with hair that has residue and/or build up could make it harder to achieve your desired style. Please bring any hair accessories you want to include for your hair. VEILS are not required at time of preview, however, can be brought in for placement purposes! Want to bring a bestie or your mama? No problem! Please keep it to at least ONE person.
“What if I have a bridesmaid drop out of receiving a hair service after I already paid my deposit?”
I highly suggest finding another person to take their spot, could be someone outside of your wedding party, an aunt, friend or etc. The 50% deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and the REMAINING BALANCE is still owed.
“What if my getting-ready location changes last minute after the deposit is paid?”
The quoted price remains the same unless the location is at a FARTHER DISTANCE, a travel fee may be applied. Please let me know as soon as you know!
“I have an extra person I want to include in the morning, but I already signed contract and paid deposit, what if I wanted to add another service?”
Most of the time, this could be fine. However, with timing I have the right to refuse. If you know far in advanced i can happily add them. Please let me know at least 1 MONTH prior if you need to add one more. This will allow me time to find a second artist IF they are needed to accommodate the bridal party. IF a second artist would need to come with to assist me, there is an additional cost.
“How do I make sure my bridesmaids show up on time for services?”
I am more than happy to create a written schedule for morning or for hair and makeup if needed at no extra cost! If you have a wedding planner who creates this for you, I would love to connect with them to make sure everything is booked correctly.
